Let The Crooner Croon / Richard Hawley
Richard Hawley is a guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer who originally made his mark as a member of Britpop band Longpigs in the 1990s. He later joined the now legendary Sheffield band Pulp, led by his friend Jarvis Cocker. As a solo musician, he’s released six studio albums to date. His solo work is filled with nostalgic lyrics and orchestral arrangements that bleed with heart-on-the-sleeve sincerity. His melodies recall slower, simpler times of soda shops, drive in movies, photos printed from film and the hearts truths known only by moonlight.
This song is so refreshing and perfect for sipping on an old fashion and swinging in a hammock, daydreaming about the times I wish I could say that I remember.
