Efterklang + Vincent Moon = Awesome Movie

Last night Vincent Moon‘s new movie, AN ISLAND premiered in Cesis, Latvia. Above is the latest trailer. I know most of our listeners check this blog out while they are at work, but I urge urge urge you to wait to watch and listen to this video until you are in the privacy of your own home. Not because of any “NSFW” issues, rather, this video is so touching in my opinion that I believe that it is owed a certain amount of attention and silence before watching. I got chills the first time I watched it, but admittedly, i was at home alone with a single beer and the lights down low. I recommend you do the same

What is this trailer? Well… French filmmaker, Vincent Moon, got together with Efterklang’s 8 piece-live band in the Danish country side to shoot an album length film full of performances, experiments and collaborations. They collaborated with over 200 local musicians, kids and parents to create a new interpretation of their latest album, Magic Chairs.

Most of the screenings are taking place in Europe at the moment, but they are having a screening on the 25th at DCTV in NYC. RSVP for free tickets at dctvny.org.
