The New LoFi

Ten Years

“Inches Apart” is taken from Golden Tongue, the debut EP from Brooklyn (via Massachusetts via California) musician Jeni Magana (aka just Magana). It’s a haunted and emotional first offering that touches on the work of St. Vincent, Diane Cluck, Sharon Van Etten and Rebecca Moore. Magana has a breathtaking voice, full of ghosts, which fights to the surface of a gorgeously eclectic backing of electric guitars, off-kilter percussion, keys and saxophone.
