It always amazes me when I come across such a great musician and find out that they’ve been around for ages. This is the case when a friend suggested I listen to Monogold. Their last release entitled “The Softest Glow” is an absolutely solid record… and it was released almost two years ago! How these things slip by my radar I don’t know (especially when you take into consideration that they’ve played in Brooklyn numerous times).
“Better late than never” as they say. In that vien, I’d like to introduce (or very likely reintroduce) you to Monogold. I’m attaching my two favorite tracks off of their latest album here, and you can download it for a mere $10 on the Monogold Bandcamp page. WELL worth it if you are into chilled-out experimental indie pop created in Brooklyn. (And I’m guessing you are).
