The New LoFi

Ten Years

December 2015 Podcast

Editor’s Note: If you’re looking for the May 2016 podcast, it’s here:

The New LoFi podcast sums up all the music posted to the blog each month.

We kick off this month’s mix with a song by New Zealand based beat maker, Soulchef. Don’t be hypnotized by Soulchef’s 90s hip-hop inspired groove for too long though, because this mix, like all TNLF mixes, is filled with a variety of genres.

The line-up includes artists you would know (Chet Faker, Raury, Kaytranada, Foals) as well as a bunch that you might not have heard of (Still Parade, Thrupence, LP). To let you down easy, we’ve finished the mix up with a couple of quieter tracks. Cover songs. French composer Maxence Cyrin creates beautiful reinterpretations of classic tracks with nothing but his piano.

Download the whole mix by right clicking on the title and selecting “Save As…” or just stream the mix here.
