The Arcs – Put A Flower In Your Pocket

This May the front man of The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach, started working on his side-project band called The Arcs. Originally conceived as a solo project for Auerbach, it quickly turned into a collaborative effort between musicians Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss, and Nick Movshon.

Their debut album, Yours, Dreamily, was released this past September. The first track on the album is called “Stay In My Corner” and was inspired by the Mayweather v Pacquiao matchup earlier this year. The most recent single, “Put A Flower In Your Pocket” is filled with reverb and 70s inspired percussion and is quickly becoming the most popular song on the album.

There’s no news about how this will effect The Black Keys going forward, but it seems like the initial success of The Arcs means that they are here to stay.
