First up is the new track from Parlor Greens. They serve up something soulfully new with this reimagining of Dolly Parton’s timeless single, “Jolene.” The trio—Adam Scone on his signature funky organ, Jimmy James driving the rhythm guitar, and Tim Carman holding down the beat—turn Dolly’s heartbreak anthem into a sun-baked, groove-laden ride. Born from a backstage jam at Brooklyn Bowl, this version feels like cruising through desert highways with the top down and “Jolene” blasting on the radio.
Stream “Jolene” below and look out for their new album, set to release early 2026 on Colemine Records.
Parlor Greens – JoleneLondon-based guitarist, producer, and composer Telica returns with his new single, “The Dive.” It’s a live-recorded gem straight from the heart of South East London’s underground jazz scene. Backed by members of the Doctor Gosso Collective, the track glows with Telica’s signature blend of jazz-infused grooves, hip-hop swing, and neo-soul warmth—think smoky basements, late-night jams, and the pulse of Yussef Dayes’ Nu Jazz influence.
Telica x Monterey J – The Dive (Take #3)Psychedelic dream-pop outfit Beach For Tiger return with their new single “A Matter of Time.” It’s another sun-drenched groove that shimmers with nostalgia and warmth. The track unfolds like a slow-motion sunset, drifting somewhere between Tame Impala’s hazy synths and Khruangbin’s laid-back funk. Smooth basslines, gliding vocals, and swirling guitars pull you deeper with every beat.
But don’t be fooled by its groove — this song is an ode to a manipulative ex lover who is overdue for some bad karma. But it’s the sound of reflection, patience, and inevitable change—true to its title.
