Devil’s Whisper

Optimized-IMG_30613-2-e1417517311493

If you haven’t heard of the nineteen year old singer from Stone Mountain, Georgia named Raury then you absolutely need to get involved right now.

This June he released a track called “Devil’s Whisper” that perked my ears right up. It sounds like something completely different. It draws you in with its tribal percussion and choir-like vocals and then, half way through, the track breaks into booming electronic bass with Raury rapping overtop. The drastic change is really interesting and helps illustrate the content of the song: a struggle between the two sides of the narrators conscious.

Check out “Devil’s Whisper” below and make sure to grab hold of Raury’s latest album All We Need.
