Inspired & The Sleep’s New Album: Teenager

We featured Inspired & the Sleep over a year ago in our New LoFinds post and we’ve been waiting for the moment when we would get a full length album. We are happy to anounce that the album does not dissapoint. It’s complete with a dreamscape of LoFi sounds and sing-a-long choruses.

Inspired & the Sleep’s orchestrator, Max Greenhalgh, described the album as “a concept album in summary of my teenage years. It was recorded at home towards the tail end the summer of 2012 right before my 20th birthday (hence the period, meaning in conclusion or end of sentence).”

An insomniac drawn deep into the lunar cycle. Max spends his nights cultivating eloquent visions made in the light of day, arranging songs that are both mesmerizing and danceable while drawing comparisons from other loop-based artists (Tune-Yards, Emily Wells and Yellow Ostrich). If you happen to stumble upon the music, you’ll realize that Inspired & The Sleep is nothing to yawn over.
