Lollapalooza Day 1 Pre Festival Sampler
With so many great bands playing summer festivals, it’s always hard to decide which bands to see when you finally show up. And of course, after you leave, you always hear about a set that you should have been at. Over the next few months we’re going to put together some festival inspired playlists to help make that decision process less painful for you; starting with today’s Lollapalooza playlist.
This year marks twenty years since Lollapalooza first took the stage. For you who are lucky enough to go, there’s an amazing line up with more than 130 performers on eight stages, including Ween, Bright Eyes, Arctic Monkeys, Deftones, Beirut, Explosions in the Sky, Death From Above 1979, Ratatat, Crystal Castles, Flogging Molly, Atmosphere, Cold War Kids, Lykke Li, Local Natives, Two Door Cinema Club, Smith Westerns, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, The Vaccines, Foster the People, Portugal The Man, Best Coast, Girl Talk, Deadmau5, Cage the Elephant, Phantogram, Ratatat, Modeselektor, Pretty Lights, Kid Cudi, Skrillex, Bloody Beet Roots, Glitch Mob, and Afrojack.
So where do you start? We decided to start at the beginning, Friday, August 5th; the first day of the festival.
