Maxence Cyrin – Where Is My Mind (Pixies cover)
Went to see Chvrches on Saturday at the Alexander Palace in London which was fantastic. I would write about Chvrches here, but I’m guessing if you are a fan of our humble website then you would have heard of them before.
After the show I found my way to a bar that was tucked away in Hackney for a few drinks. While finishing my second glass of wine, the most incredible cover of The Pixies “Where Is My Mind” came on over the speakers. It was a re-imagining of the song created by a piano. More specifically, it was a cover by a French Pianist named Maxence Cyrin.
In fact, Cyrin has done a whole series of piano covers of well known songs like this on his album Novo Piano. If you like covers, you are going to love this album.
