SAXITY x David Guetta x Justin Bieber
We first came across Sebastian Dittrich and Konstantin Flegelskamp last year when they released their cover of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” They are the German electronic producers / performers behind Saxity, an instrumental project that uses an electric guitar and a saxophone to reinterpret popular music. That’s right, a freaking saxophone! It’s about time someone brings back the saxophone!
Their music bridges the gap between live musicians, record producers and performance with a clever twist on each song they touch. This time around they put their spin on the very popular David Guetta + Justin Bieber track called “2U.” It’s somewhere between chill-trap and uptempo house. “We never thought that we’ll ever remix/cover a tune of David Guetta” says Flegelskamp when talking about the track. “Even less a Justin Bieber track. I mean seriously??”
I have to admit, it’s not my normal listening material either but there is something about a saxophone that makes everything better.
