When you know that phin is originally from a small town in Vermont, it’s no surprise that his music has a wintery, ethereal quality to it. I can close my eyes and imagine that I’m floating among the pine forests of the American North East.
Before launching his solo career, phin produced music for a number of Vermont-based artists including Noah Kahan and Hans Williams. phin’s new solo project combines elements of indie and electronic music, highlighting both his production skills and his vocals. His aim is to break genre barriers, use new tones, and create music that is, at its core, true to himself. I think that you will agree that his new single, “you would never fall in love with me,” does just that.
