Of all the countless music I sifted through during July, I kept coming back to this song. It has such a sense of motivation to it. To me, it represents the moment that you finally see that beautiful light at the end of a fucking long tunnel. There’s an intensity brought about by the cutting bass line. It bridges feelings of ambition and sadness. Right from the first few seconds, you’re sent into a spiral of contemplation. The lyrics are simple because the rest of the music says everything that words can’t. Heartbreaks + Setbacks speaks to that strength to carry on as long as we’re willing to put our lives under our own glittering microscope and move with the tides.
