Absolutely gorgeous new ambient electronic EP from MOLØ + Slackin Beats collab

This month Berlin-based producer MOLØ and Malmö’s Slackin Beats have got together for a collaborative four-track EP entitled Four Lanes. The EP merges the atmospheric essence of electronica with some experimental soundscapes. The collaboration is built on a shared vision and sonic aesthetic that blends a sense of warmth, rhythm, and atmosphere.

“Collaborating has been an organic and exciting experience,” admits MOLØ when talking about working with Elvis Suljevic (aka Slackin Beats) on the new EP. “Working together as electronic artists feels deeply personal because so much of our identity comes through air jordan 11 columbia in our production choices. Even though we worked remotely, we instinctively knew what we shared in terms of sound preferences — lush synths, warped layers, and organic drums, to name a few.”

“We also played to our individual strengths”, adds Suljevic. “MOLØ focused on structuring and arranging the songs, mixing everything, and adding key elements to finalize the tracks. Meanwhile, I concentrated on shaping the right tone, crafting vocal chops, basslines, and other intricate details. By sending ideas back and forth we pushed each other creatively, always aiming to surprise and impress one another. The results were both unexpected and rewarding.”

“For me, the collaboration has felt seamless from the very beginning, which is quite rare”, MOLØ continues. “We’ve really made an effort to listen to each other while constantly pushing and surprising one another. As Elvis mentioned, our different strengths have been an almost fascinating match. I’m so happy and grateful for this project and how it came together so naturally.”

The title single off the EP naturally blends the styles of both artists — weaving together MOLØ’s lush melodies and rhythmic pulses with the melancholic and cinematic beats from Slackin Beats.
