Heavy Rotation: the dirty bassline rattle for Autumn

Here’s a round-up of our favorite electronic music sent to the blog recently. This is all the electronic music that has been on heavy rotation here at TNLF HQ. If you like the vibe, check out the full playlist on Spotify.

PLÉTHORE – Atlantic (remix by Kasper Bjørke)

Founded by musician and architect Louis Faloci, Pléthore is a French collective that blends electronic music with soul-infused pop. Deliberately mysterious, the project is entirely dedicated to the music and the soundscapes it creates. Their new track, “Atlantic” explores our relationship with time and the people around us and I thought the Kasper Bjørke remix of the track was the perfect way to kick off October’s edition of Heavy Rotation

Dexter Troy – That Way

Our favorite Swiss DJ and producer, Dexter Troy, is back with his new track “That Way.” Hard not to get your groove on to this one

AAT – Bass Drop

Now it’s time to get the dirty bassline rattle started. Dutch DJ and producer, AAT, brings the dirty bassline drip on her new track: “Bass Drop.”

WELKER x NO STATIC – Hot Girl Walk

Keeping the dirty bassline theme alive, we’ve got this WELKER x NO STATIC collab called “Hot Girl Walk. “WELKER has rapidly emerged as the most talked-about new artist on the scene. His unreleased IDs are consistently featured in sets by CamelPhat, Solomun, Vintage Culture, Innellea, Gordo, Meduza, Adam Ten, Blondish, Max Styler, John Summit, and countless others. We wanted to share this NO STATIC collab he’s created last month called “Hot Girl Walk.”

Kidoo – Beat Boyz

Cole Knight – Uno Dos Tres

Cole Knight is a DJ, producer, and vocalist drawing influences from her US roots and experiences on dance floors across the UK and Europe. Her distinctive sound and stage presence have led to worldwide tours including stops at Coachella, Club Space Miami, and Amnesia Ibiza.

George Smeddles – Freeflow

Saniel Woods – Down Under

Swiss producer, Saniel Woods, is inspired by many music styles, from jazz, trap, lofi hip hop, boom bap, and house, his music spans a wide range. His new track “Down Under” leans right into the techno bass (perfect for this month’s feature).

Gabss x Talón – No Phone Party

I dare you not to get into the infectious bassline hook that “No Phone Party” has in store.

Ammo Avenue – Azul

Peruvian Ammo Avenue keeps rising through the underground music scene establishing himself as one of house music’s most exciting newcomers. Armed with bumping basslines and solid house beats. This month we’ve got his new single, “Azul.”

BRANDON – Rave En La Favela

BRANDON (on socials brandonsounds) is a German-American DJ and producer from Cologne. He is considered as a pioneer of the German G-House movement, whose beginning is rooted in BRANDON’s experiences in the UK house and bass scenes of London and Los Angeles. His vibrating new single “Rave En La Favela” is G-House with a latin twist.

Lewis Taylor – In My House

Lewis Taylor is a UK singer and multi-instrumentalist whose music covers a broad spectrum of genres, including soul, psychedelia, rock and pop.

Calcou – Everything OK?

Time to wind the mix down a bit with Calcou’s new single “Everything OK?” CALCOU is an electronic duo based in Berlin who draw inspiration from the atmospheric textures of electronica, the hypnotic pulse of trip-hop, and the restless energy of indie dance. Their music moves between bittersweet nostalgia and dancefloor euphoria.

Blending intricate electronic production, analog synthesizers, and live vocals, Calcou create immersive soundscapes made for getting lost in your head and losing yourself on the dancefloor.

lene 3000 – Lights off

And to finish it all off, we’re bringing you the very interesting sounds of Norwegian synth-pop songwriter Lene Talgø (aka lene 3000). Surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of Norway’s southwest coast, she operates in the borderlands between witch house and alternative pop, crafting ethereal soundscapes with a finely tuned aesthetic vision.
