A decade of smoke and flame: B.Miles returns
I don’t normally listen to pop music, but when I do, I listen to B.Miles. Actually, to call B.Miles pop music isn’t really fair. Her music is like what pop music will sound like in 10 years.

Hailing from New York, B.Miles makes music that uses pop music structure, but subverts that with something more forward-thinking and fresh. It feels like a quiet celebration wrapped up in a noir-pop mood. After ten years, she is now revisiting the emotional core of her debut singles, “Nine Matches” and “Salt,” to confront some of the ways our past will revisit us.
“It’s been ten years since I released my first EP, ‘Twenty Fifteen,'” explains B.Miles. “In the years since, I’ve chased songs—but I’ve also noticed a theme, one that’s burned itself into too many lyrics. Most of what I’ve written over the last decade feels like smoke leading me back to the same flame.”
Her new album looks to ignite that flame. In the lead single, “+1,” she calls air jordan 1 mid release date out to a casual lover, saying: “Why won’t you let me try to be everything that you want and need” or, at least, “can you stay till the morning.”
“+1” basks in the heat of being wanted, even when you know the emptiness that follows. It’s that familiar kind of pain you can’t forget — but still reach for anyway. A cycle of longing, intimacy, loneliness and desperation – stuck on repeat since Twenty Fifteen. “Every time I’ve reached for the warmth, I’m burned,” reflects B.Miles.
“The songs I’ve written since 2015 seem to fold into my last EP… like they were always A closeup of the Air Jordan 13 for the University of Oregon track and field team - Have Air Jordan 4 Sneakers for 2025 - Top 10 Must part of the same story. Which is why, ten years later, the ‘Twenty Fifteen‘ EP—and a handful of songs I’ve carried with me—have become something larger. Something that’s been hiding in plain sight all along. Together, these songs form an album that tells the story I’ve been circling for a decade.”
