A blend of Brazilian grooves and jazz on Alsogood’s new single, “Feliz”
Italian producer and multi-instrumentalist Francesco Lo Giudice (aka Alsogood) returns with “Feliz,” the lead single from his latest album 1000 Smiles (Island Records). Built around rich Brazilian-inspired grooves and warm jazz textures, the track showcases Alsogood’s signature ability to blend organic rhythm with introspective melody. Speaking on the release, Giudice explains that “Feliz” was born from a desire to experiment with groove and atmosphere, combining distinct vocal and horn motifs to create a balance between grounded restraint and vibrant, soulful energy.
The single offers a compelling preview of 1000 Smiles, a 26-minute project where hip-hop structure meets the spontaneity and warmth of contemporary jazz. Recorded between Giudice’s Milan studio and a residential session in Northern Italy, the album features collaborations with Canadian producer Datsunn and acclaimed Italian MC Johnny Marsiglia.
Following the success of his 2024 album, Elsewhere (which amassed more than 3 million streams and led to an exclusive Apple Music performance alongside Grammy-nominated trumpeter Theo Croker) 1000 Smiles looks set to become Alsogood’s most expansive and fully realised work to date.
