Beach Day

Today’s song of the day comes from Hollyweird, Florida’s Beach Day. In one phrase I’d describe this track and as a surfy, dreamy, girl pop version of a Ramones tune. I might also add garagey, harmonic and nostalgic (as in 50’s drive-ins). Give it a listen and let us know what you you think? Although the track is called “Get It Out Of Your Head, you likely won’t be able to.

You can check them out this Friday at the Kanine Records Showcase at Brooklyn Brewery. I wish this video was available without the commercial but it was worth the wait. Anyhow, the showcase is free and there will be $3 beers all day long. Don’t miss it. Also on this bill are Toronto’s dream rockers Moon King, one of my recent bands to watch.

Inspired by: The Black Lips, The Ronettes, Vivian Girls, The Ventures, The Shangri-Las, The Seeds, The Mysterians, The Yardbirds and The Sonics.
