Weval
Last week Netherlands based duo “Weval” released their debut EP entitled ‘The Half Age.’ The EP starts off with an ambient anthem and slowly grows to something more suitable for the dance floor. I’m putting the two first tracks off the album here, but you should seriously buy the full EP (which is available on the Weval Bandcamp page for just €4). Galimatias – Strawberries
New single from Danish producer Galimatias titled “Strawberries.” Comes with an equally soothing yet slightly clubbier remix from Madeaux which you can stream on the LessThan3 Soundcloud page.
BTMX
The elusive chillwave producer known as BTMX recently released a two part EP named “BTMX-01” and “BTMX-02.” There is a heavy 80s influence and a nostalgic theme throughout but there is no mistake that the darker side of chillwave is explored within these tracks. “The idea of longing for things to return to a non-existent and/or idealised version of a particular time period is an incredibly strong theme to work with,” says BTMX. Here are the first and second tracks off of the BTMX-01 EP but you should check out the BTMX Soundcloud page to stream both EPs in full.
