Ellen Allien’s new MDMA remix has us dreaming about the return of the rave
A couple of years ago, the Berlin-based record label BPitch released a couple collections of remixes from Ellen Allien’s album Alientronic. Today we were just digging through the second batch of remixes and found this terrific Alien Rain rework and video of MDMA that feels like it could rallying call for ravers everywhere. With clubs reopening and the pandemic settling down, it’s time to return to the dance floor.
The remix album also includes mixes from Shlømo, Hector Oaks and Fjaak. But it’s Alien Rain’s take on ‘MDMA’ with its huge nineties-inspired synth line that has got us bouncing.
