French electro with a laid-back groove: “Life Goes On”
Yasser, better known by his stage name Farwell, is a French producer with a passion for electronic music. Inspired by Daft Punk’s Alive 2007 album in the late 00s, he began mixing and producing — largely influenced by the French electro trend.
“’Life Goes On’ comes after my first album release (Midnight Reveries: Melodies of the Soul),” explains Yasser when talking about his new single. “I released the album in two parts (one this May and the other in June this year). This album was kind of a retrospection on 10 years of music producing. I wanted to put in the feeling I get the most when I’m producing music which is the melancholy.”
But with this latest single Yasser is doing something a bit different. “I wanted to do the opposite of my first album and make a track that puts you in a chill, groovy, and happy atmosphere.”
Well I for one can say that it’s mission accomplished. “Life Goes One” is a wonderfully upbeat and laid-back groove that is hard to resist.
