17 year old actress and model Taylor Michel Momsen known for portraying Jenny Humphrey (CW Gossip Girl) and Cindy Lou Who (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) has gone rock and roll – \m/. Her band The Pretty Reckless channel Blondie, Nirvana, Marilyn Manson and Hole and put a pop twist on them. The result is a refreshing take on what teen/pre-teen music has become. The band has confirmed their EP will be available on Interscope Records June 22nd with a full length following in August. At first, I was skeptical about the idea of another Hollywood starlet going rock n’ roll but after watching one of the many viral videos I was convinced. Taylor Momsen is the real deal and for what they are, The Pretty Reckless rock. An overall impressive first effort.
