Heavy Rotation: from summer vibes to after dark bangers
Here’s a round-up of our favorite electronic music sent to the blog recently. This is all the electronic music that has been on heavy rotation here at TNLF HQ. If you like the vibe, check out the full playlist on Spotify.
Meanetik – Summer ’12
Based in the lovely city of Darmstadt, Meanetik creates electronic music that blends elements of Lofi House, Deep House, Melodic House, and Tech House. For his new single, “Summer ’12” he’s created a soulful deep house track built around the feeling of summer 2012.
Club Bistro – Bachelor’s Handbag (mmilton remix)
For the last edition of Heavy Rotation we kicked it off with Club Bistro’s new single, “Bachelor’s Handbag.” This month we are back with an Mmilton reflip of the track that pushes the track deeper into the late night club space with some funky bass lines and italo disco vibes. Guest vocals supplied by Josh Williams from Crocodylus
Sinego x Fernando Milagros x Daybreaker – La La La (feat. Benziê)
Now it’s time to get a bit darker (with a north african twist). Mexican producer Sinego teams up with Fernando Milagros and Daybreaker to create this dirty little cut. Love how that rattling bass line contrasts with Benziê’s melodic topline: “La La La.”
MAPLO x Ben Thrasher – Can’t Take This
MAPLO and Ben Thrasher team up to make this bouncy little banger called “Can’t Take This” for their new single.
Bushbaby x Danny P. – Back To Funk
DvirNuns – Bad B$tch
Just Geo – IN/CONTRAST
Just Geo has featured on a couple editions of Heavy Rotation over the past year, and we’re pleased to have him back in the mix this month with his new single “IN/CONTRAST.”
Morggan x Derteedisco
Two tracks this month from the Derteedisco x Morggan collaboration. Derteedisco is out of Denver Colorado and Morggan is on the east coast in North Carolina. East coast beat comes together with the Mountain vibe.
Derteedisco x Morggan – Maybe (Rico Tubbs Remix)Morggan x Derteedisco – Maybe (Arina Krondeva Remix)
Formatka – Sirka
A stripped-back, hypnotic tech-house cut driven by rolling low end, tight percussion, and late-night vibes.
Absent Ink – st carcass
Absent Ink is an artist and producer based in London. For his latest single, “St Carcass” he mixes breakbeat and acid techno. His new EP (‘kings loss / st carcass’) is a play on a major train station in London called “Kings Cross” and “London St Pancras.” His version reimagines the stations as ghost stations that exists only in sound. Think ambient swells and haunting voices composed to a sub-heavy break.
Hen.D – Concrete
Amix – The Feeling
Chilean producer, Amix drops a sassy new house track from his Heels EP.
