Matt Wilde’s vibrant EP opener celebrates the simple pleasures of life with a bit of jazz and hip-hop rhythm
If you need a little sunshine in your life, check out this new EP from Manchester-born keyboardist and producer, Matt Wilde. The EP is called It’s a Delight, and it celebrates the simple pleasures in life by blending jazz-inspired keys with soulful harmonies and pocketed drums.
Since his 2021 debut EP, Believe in Things, Matt has released several singles, a vinyl project, and been featured on a few radio shows (including Gilles Peterson, Jamie Cullum and Jazz FM in the UK).
The title track off of the new EP embodies the core message for the project: to encourage listeners to find joy in everyday moments. “[The album] is an exploration of the small joys that make life meaningful,” says Matt while talking about the new release. “The project was a collaborative effort that brought new perspectives and layers to the music. This EP celebrates the everyday moments that bring us together and the joy that grows when shared.”
I think that’s something we can all get on board with.
