Melody’s Echo Chamber

I have a crush on Melody Prochet, the French singer/songwriter behind Melody’s Echo Chamber. It’s mostly because her debut self-titled album is near perfection, but it helps that she’s a little hottie as well.

Melody’s Echo Chamber is a blend of 60s and 70s psychedelic dream-pop. It’s an album drenched in sunshine. explosions and LoFi French melody.

Prochet pulls inspiration from an eclectic collection of artists ranging from Coltrane to Blonde Redhead, claiming that Broadcast has a strong influence on her music. Tame Impala’s frontman, Kevin Parker, was also a heavy influence on the album, lending his hand in the production of the record. You can certainly hear his brand of sunny psych pop throughout the record, but Melody’s voice brings something to the sounds that Tame Impala could never emulate.

I tried to pick out my favorite tracks from the album to share with you… “Some Time Alone, Alone” “Snowcapped Andes Crash” …but they’re all my favorite. I’m not exaggerating. You should go out and buy Melody’s Echo Chamber off of amazon.com immediately.
