Mulatu Astatke and Kendrick Lamar
Mulata Astatke is an Ethiopian born jazz musician best know as the father of Ethio-Jazz. I’m really digging his stuff lately. I came across his music a few weeks back while making old fashioneds and mojitos on a lazy sunday evening. This track reminds me of Miles Davis’ Conceirto De Aranjuez (Adagio) off of Sketches of Spain. These two jazz tunes are pretty off topic for TNLF but whateva. They’re dope. I personally hope someone out there hears Mulata Astatke on this site and samples him. I feel like Yekermo Sew would fit really well on a Kendrick Lamar track …
