Alabama Shakes Release Boys & Girls
Hold On created a lot of buzz for Alabama Shakes, followed by some great press off of the SXSW shows. Their album, Boys & Girls was released last week. It’s a really rich blend of blues, rock and southern soul. Check it out above.
And btw, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been trying the new Spotify plugin for posting music lately. It’s kind of an experiment. I know some people still want the old fashioned MP3s but I’ve really been all about cloud music services, Spotify being my default go to app. Soundlcoud is nice too, but the UI for their player isn’t as nice. Sorry Soundcloud, you have to work that shit out. If you need help, let us know. As designers on the side, we’d love to help. Anyhow, let us know what you think about this spotify embed thing? Do you hate getting music via the spotify embed code or do you love it? For us, it’s a good way to post a lot of music faster than the old way while also letting the artists get royalties for each listen. If you don’t have Spotify, you can get a free account here.
