The New LoFi podcast is an hour-long mix covering all of the music posted to the blog last month. Want to be cooler than all your friends with the latest tracks from the coolest new bands? This is the mix you need to listen to.

October’s mix is a bit unconventional. We broke the rules of mixtape making this month by putting two songs by the same artist back to back. In fact, we did that more than once. There is two from the Pittsburgh based band Lampshades, two from the Spanish band Pional, and two from Montreal based DJ/ producer Fonkynson.

And although you might think that adding two songs from multiple artists might make the mix sound like…well, less of a mix… you’d be wrong. All three of these artists (and all of the artists selected this month for that matter) have a very eclectic sound. It makes for a colorful patchwork of sound for October.
