Sufjan Stevens Goes Hip Hop
It’s true! Sufjan Stevens is breaking out. Well, kind of anyway.
Vancouver-based producer Tor recently sampled Sufjans’ 2005 LP Illinoise, as well as 3 other albums, A Sun Came, Seven Swans and Songs for Christmas, then mixed his guitar, piano, horns and sometimes vocals with MC’s Aesop Rock, Big Daddy Kane, Gift of Gab (Blackalicious), C.L. Smooth, Outkast, Brother Ali, and Grand Puba. This is definitely the smoothest and most unique FREE remix album since Amplive’s remix of Radiohead’s In Rainbows. It just goes to show you that not everything good in life costs money. Check out the tracks below and then download the whole album on tormusic.net.
