Summer Sounds for Sunday

What a beautiful weekend in New York City! Had to dig into the archive for some summer tracks new and old. In search of mashing up my two favorite genres, Reggae and Techno. Here’s how you should wind down your Sunday:

Round Table Knights – Calypso (featuring Bauchamp)
This track has a tight sound and lets a steel drum creep into the mix. It’s fucking amazing what a steel drum will do for a song.

Def. pushes the needle closer to the reggae side of things, but a great dub track.

Rhythm & Sound – Mango Drive
Chris B passed this on to me a couple weeks ago and it’s probably the closest thing you’ll get to reggae techno. Rhythm & Sound really push dub into a new place.
