The Classical Christmas Mixtape

Merry Christmas everyone! We’re very happy to announce that the annual bonus Christmas Mixtape is here! This year’s bonus mixtape features a classical Christmas compilation. All the biggest names in classical music — Mozart, Handel, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Holst, Bach, and many many more.

Okay, okay, I know this isn’t the type of music that you normally come to The New LoFi to listen to, but hear me out. These composers and this collection of music represents some of the most well-known and archetypal Christmas music of all time. A lot of the pop Christmas songs we know today will have been inspired in some small way from the compositions presented here.

But I get it, this kind of music isn’t for everyone. It’s not the collection of chart topping Christmas pop songs that you might be used to. Perhaps you could try putting it on as a background soundtrack to your gift wrapping. Or play it low to accompany a fancy dinner. Or, if you just can’t handle the classical Christmas, you should check out some of our Christmas Mixtapes from previous years: The 80’s Christmas Mixtape, A LoFi Christmas, A Whiskey Soaked Indie Rock Christmas Mixtape, 30s, 40, 50s Christmas Mixtape, or The Christmas Mixtape 2000!

Merry Christmas!
