The New LoFi

Ten Years

Throwback Thursday

Here are a few great tracks that have been lost in our inbox over the past couple of years that we’d like to pull out and give the attention that they deserve. #throwbackthursday

Edward Sharpe Mag Zeros – Man on Fire (Little Daylight remix)
An incredibly catchy and shambling remix of Edward Sharpe’s hit single “Man on Fire.”

Crystal Fighters – You & I
First single off of Crystal Fighters latest album “Cave Rave” out a little over eight months now. These guys always put together sweet upbeat indie pop tracks.

Route 94 – My Love (feat. Jess Glynne)
This came out on an Annie Mac sampler the end of last year and it’s a shame we didn’t post it up when it was released. Great track

Local Roku – Abstract
Came across this track after doing a deep dive into our inbox. What a soulful jazzy chilled-out track. Not sure how it slipped through the cracks when it was released two years ago, but glad we could turn you all on to it now. If you like what you hear, check out Local Roku on Bandcamp or you can find some more recent tracks on his youtube or soundcloud pages.

Family Wagon – Hard Times
San Diego based band Family Wagon put out this single about a year ago as a part of their four track EP entitled “Last Drag.”

Haruko With Smålldisco – Autumn, Golden Trees
Terrific remix project by the Swedish electropop duo Smalldisco which was released in 2011. Entitled “Wild Geese,” the original album songs were written by Susanne Stanglow under her moniker “Haruko.” You can stream the entire EP on the Smalldisco Soundcloud page.
