Phree Direxion – Pursuit Of Happiness (I’ll Be Good)
You know those tracks that start off slow and give you chills along the back of your neck as they build? That’s the effect that this new cover of “Pursuit Of Happiness” from Phree Direxion has on you. It’s a lowkey slow-burn banger. And it’s a great way to kick off this edition of Heavy Rotation that covers a range of “end of summer blues” tracks.
Painted Dunes – Terrace After Dark
“Terrace After Dark” continues the slow burn with the feeling of leaving a beachside lounge after an unforgettable night. It’s the perfect soundtrack to a drive home when you wish the night could last forever.
Tone Ranger – Horse With No Name (America Cover)
Speaking of certified low-key bangers, Arizona-based producer Alex Simon (aka Tone Ranger). The original “Horse With No Name” written by Dewey Bunnell in 1971 was an ode to the mysterious epic deserts of the Southwest of America. It is the quintessential desert song.
“Living in the desert of the Southwest, in the lands that inspired the song — I’ve always felt such a personal connection to the song,” explains Alex when talking about composing the track. “It’s been a dusty journey of its own creating this cover.”

DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ – All The Beautiful Things U Do (Rewitched)
DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ brings us a remixed version of this classic hit track. Totally rewitched over 8 months, pure acid house.
Mini Sants – Better Angels (Ft. Remote Places)
“Better Angels” takes listeners on a feel good spiritual journey. The collaboration feature the nostalgic 80s-style vocals of Remote Places combined with the beachside indie dance rhythms that we have come to expect from Mini Sants. Bouncy, bright, dreamy, yet gritty, “Better Angels” is perfect for fans of artists like LCD Soundsystem, SG Lewis, Washed Out, and Roosevelt.
Nutritious – Endless Summer
Nico Besso – She Moves with the Wind
“’She Moves With the Wind’ started with a very small idea and ended up becoming a song we spent well over a year passing back and forth across the Pacific,” explains Besso when talking about how he collaborated with Sydney-based duo Barley Passable to compose the new single. “The track is a lush indie-dance track about chasing someone always just out of reach. You cannot really win against the wind. Sometimes you just experience it while it is there.”
OLING – Fading to Silence
Influenced by the Scandinavian wilderness, OLING’s music flows from its lakes and forests into the world’s clubs. His roots in rhythm trace back to years behind a drumset. It’s given him a foundation that allows him to create hypnotic grooves, textured percussion, and melodies that linger long after the last beat fades.
Ellie Goulding – Ravers
Ellie Goulding doesn’t need any introduction, and I wouldn’t normally cover music from a mega popstar, but this single represents Goulding’s first-ever solo electronic single: “Ravers.” Which is something to shout about.

Now it’s time to get ourselves in the club and this bouncy Dutch cut from Senders is the perfect medicine.
