Abelson Live and Xhosa team up to bring us a new EP inspired by old-school NYC house music
For the last twenty years, Brian Abelson (aka Abelson Live) has written and produced groove-oriented music. His sound skips playfully between disco, hip hop, house, garage rock, synth pop, and techno.
This month he teams up with XHOSA to create some beautifully nostalgic 90s-inspired New York house for their upcoming EP entitled “2 Know U.”
The EP pays homage to the best parts of the 80s and 90’s New York City house sound — pumping drums, bouncing chords, infectious basslines, and soaring vocals. It also features remixes from J Words, Solar System, and XHOSA herself.
