Cage The Elephant
It’s a beautiful, sunny Friday afternoon and I just got back to New York after three weeks out of town. It’s time to put on a fun track to celebrate and welcome in the long weekend ahead. Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ah Ah . . . . Cage The Elephant is a 5 piece Kentcuky band known for their high energy shows. Their sound definitely can be compared to The Pixies a bit. They’ve been around since 2006, releasing their sophomore LP “Thank You Happy Birthday” back in January. The whole album an upbeat, bouncy indie rock album filled with hooks and delicious bass lines. It’s a fun album that’s perfect for summer backyard BBQs and super soaker wars. “Around My Head” is one of my favorites off the album.
