Ghostface Killah and the Apollo Kids

Ghostface has a new album out, and the Wu continues. To be honest, I’ve always been more into the Gza and the Rza. but these days it seems that Ghostface is the only one keeping Wu-tang alive. and this album, dare I say, could open up a whole new chapter in hip-hop as far as I’m concerned. It all started with the Fishscale album. Ghostface never really stood out to me until that album dropped. and now with Apollo Kids, he’s done it again. There is that distinctive nod to old school hip-hop and funk but it doesn’t fall into that backpack rap category. It’s like the 70’s meet the mid 90’s.
