Cadillac Cruisin’

Last weekend I went out to Shelter Island to escape the heat of the city.

Besides basking in the sun, eating fresh seafood, and watching some fireworks on the 4th, I was fortunate enough to take a ride in a friends newly purchased ’65 Cadillac Convertible. There is no way to explain cruising down back roads and beach streets with a hulking old white Cadillac. The top was down, the air in your nike air jordan 1 high og sp union bbs fd2565 100 hair…. everyone in the car was just speechlessly smiling and looking nike air jordan 1 outlet at each other. This is how you celebrate 4th of July.

The best part about the whole experience was that the car still had the original 8 track player installed. So as we drove 10mph down the strip on Sunset Beach, stopping traffic and turning heads, we had an 8 track playing the oldies but goodies. I’d like to imagine that we looked and sounded like a crew of time traveling hipsters that just flew in from the 60’s in our Cadillac time machine.
