You want hip-hop and soul? This month’s mix features American jazz drummer and hip-hop producer, Karriem Riggins. It’s got Amsterdam-based rapper DRUMMAKID. It’s got a Moullinex edit of Notorious B.I.G.. We’ve got hip-hop.

Is it indie that you are after? We got new ones from STATS, Lab Coast and The Soft White Sixties.  I especially like the single from Pittsburgh-based wwoman “New Ferments.” And if you have’t heard of Alex Izenberg you need to get a load of his new album Harlequin. We feature his single “To Move On” here on the mix, but the LP really needs to be listened to all the way through in order to appreciate its brilliance.

To celebrate the new NVDES EP, Life With Lobsters, we’ve included their latest single, “I Want To Make Out At The Gay Club.” You can’t really beat that title. And the track is catchy as hell as well.

There’s also an incredible remix of Portishead’s “SOS” by Theatre Of Delays on the mix. For me, everything Portishead has ever put out has been absolutely perfect. You just can’t improve their tracks. But this Theatre Of Delays mix pays homage!
