Gurun Gurun Karumi
Gurun Gurun is a very weird Czech-based experimental, ambient / semi-improvised music collective that combines minimalistic guitars, analogue synthesizers, turntables, acoustic instruments and digital effects to span musical spaces ranging from hypno-minimalist atmospheres to warm tones of slow moving, hypnotic stanzas. They released their debut album in December to great reviews, especially in Japan. Tower Records in Japan (yes, record stores still exist) even made ‘Gurun Gurun’ one of their albums of the month for January 2011.
