Holy Ghost & Hipster Dads

The new self-titled album from Holy Ghost was released earlier this month and it’s pretty awesome. They stayed true to their 80’s dance floor / italia-disco sound and there are a few hits that are already moving some dancing feet. “Wait and See,” “Do It Again,” “Hold On!” There is a lot of fire on this album.

But the video… this video they released for “Wait and See” on Monday is fucking hilarious. Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser of Holy Ghost decided to cast their dads as themselves. We follow the Holy Ghost duo around the city in a ‘day in the life’ style video.

Alex Frankel explains: “At first both Dads were a little apprehensive – and rightfully so: My dad was appalled at the sizing options at American Apparel. But when we explained that the joke wasn’t on them – that it was actually kind of making fun of us getting older and still living like teenagers – they were game. For the record, they agree: We need to grow up.”

Best part is when the one dad wakes up on an uncovered mattress in Williamsburg with a half eaten piece of pizza crust in his hand. Pretty much sums up every weekend I go out.
