Song of The Day: Landfill

I stumbled upon UK trio Daughter back in May and instantly fell in love with them. Their mix of heart on the sleeve ballads and sonic soundscapes help define their unique sound which is both fragile and grand. They recently kicked off their US tour which include 3 nights in New York during CMJ. On the 17th, they’ll be at The Slipper Room, on the 18th, they’re supporting The Walkmen at Terminal 5 and on the 19th, they’ll be at The Mercury Lounge with Choir Of Young Believers & Savages. I’d highly recommend seeing one of these shows since they don’t have any other NYC dates scheduled on the tour.

Check out our previous Daughter post which includes His Young Heart and the Wild Youth EP, plus some really amazing live performances. I personally really love the live version on Run performed of a subway somewhere.

Today’s song of the day is Landfill. Check it out.
