Diamond Rings Special Affections Re-Release
I’ve been listening to the recently re-released Diamond Rings album Special Affections a lot this week (Astralwerks Records). I even featured an acoustic version of “Something Else” on Global Twang Vol. 5 on Monday. For those of you familiar with Diamond Rings already, I know that featuring the band on a Global Twang roundup is kind of a stretch but the track fit so I put it on there. For those of you unfamiliar with Diamond Rings up to this point, that track was more or less a one off to the more typical Diamond Rings 80’s inspired synth-pop sound.
In support of the album re-release, Diamond Rings will be touring North America with Twin Shadow. The “Clean Cuts” tour kicks off in Philadelphia on Sept 4, then it will loop around the country and end up in New York City on October 7th.
