Matt Wilde teases upcoming jazz album, “Find A Way” a with crisp new single
I last came across the music of Manchester-based composer, Matt Wilde, when he released his vibrant 2024 EP entitled “It’s A Delight.” This month, he’s back with some more far-out cosmic jazz. His new single is called “It’s Ok, Feel It” and it features a snappy hip-hop-inspired beat combined with a buttery smooth horn section. The new single is taken from Matt’s upcoming LP ‘Find a Way,’ (which is set to release on October 10th on Matt’s imprint, Hello World Records).
Throughout the project, Matt digs into improvisation and jazz harmony to craft a sound that bridges jazz, hip hop, and electronic music. “The creative act is not a matter of waiting for the perfect conditions,” explains Matt when talking about his process. “It’s about moving gently and insistently through the imperfect.”
