Pushing Daisys’ new indie psychedelic album uses vintage-inspired vocals and reverb-filled melodies
In 2013 singer/songwriter nike ja 1 scratch Alice embarked on her musical journey just a teenager playing bass for other groups in Los Angeles. Whenever she would collaborate with other musicians or friends she would play under the moniker Pushing Daisys. 10 years on and Pushing Daisys had developed their own unique flavour of psychedelic sound which incorporated lo-fi melody and soft vocals influenced by vintage music.

This year, Pushing Daisys has annonced their new full-length album, Somber (out now). The lead single on the album, “Do Me That Way,” uses some floating melodies, backed by catchy bassline, and a shamelessly confident shamble on the drums.
