The king of Detroit Technosoul: Eddie Fowlkes

This is my favorite type of house mix. The type of mix that renown Detroit DJ, Eddit Fowlkes has been spinning for the last 40 years. It’s a combination of Detroit techno and house that is heavily influenced by soul, jazz, and funk. Fowlkes calls his flavor of electronic music: “techno soul.”

After decades of cultivating his technosoul sound, Fowlkes has now been invited by Resident Advisor to create an hourlong masterpiece dedicated to the sub genre. You will not be disappointed.
