Urchin and Kmodo join forces to create a new low-key tech-house banger

Having played together in London’s rich jazz and improvised music scene since 2008, Leo Appleyard (Urchin) and Chris Nickolls (Kmodo) have now recently discovered a mutual love of dark electronic music.

For their new single, “Right In (front Of Me),” the two producers take inspiration from other UK producers like Bonobo, Sampha, Barry Can’t Swim and Ross From Friends. Independently, the two artists have a very different sound; they both produce electronic music as solo artists, but nothing near as dark as when they come together for a collaboration. Kmodo brings acoustic drums and vocals samples while Urchin supplies the analogue synths and brooding basslines.

Check out their new single below, and look our for more collaborations between these two in the future.
