Heavy Rotation: all the tech house and late night electronic you need to kick off the summer

Here’s a round-up of our favorite electronic music sent to the blog recently. This is all the electronic music that has been on heavy rotation here at TNLF HQ. If you like the vibe, check out the full playlist on Spotify.

Nao – Give it All

We’re kicking the mix off this month with some high-energy house from Paris-based producer, Noah Poisson (aka Nao).  After six years of performing at the heartbeat of the Parisian scene, Noah has distilled his experience as a DJ into a refined solo project. His debut single, “Give It All” is a blast-your-socks-off house anthem that bridges the gap between soulful depth and dancefloor heat.

Onslow – Let Go

Onslow returns with a brand new single that blends warm basslines with a crisp beat and layers of melody. If you are looking for a track for some late-night reflection, get “Let Go” in your headphones.

Greg Elenis – Suéltate

Known for blending South American and Afro House styles, Greg is back with a brand new single that gives both energy and warmth. Lock into “Suéltate” if you are ready to get the dancefloor moving.

Chamber Glow – Deflector

Next up we’re going to chill things out with the debut single from Vancouver-based producer, Spencer Robertson (aka Chamber Glow). The track is called “Deflector” and it includes some beautifully atmospheric electronic to send you gliding.

Mini Sants – Cool Like That (Goldenfang Records Rework)

Mini Sants is on rotation for 2 months running with this new Goldenfang Records rework of his track “Cool Like That.” The new remix manages to combine the signature Goldenfang groove with Mini Sants’ nostalgic, 80s-inspired sound. And that bassline is such a vibe.

Dexter Troy – Dance To The Music

We’ve got two new tracks from Dexter Troy this month. A demo of “Dance To The Music” was released by the Swiss producer a couple years ago, but he’s re-released it with a snappy new build up and that same catchy jackin-house beat that hooks you in with some funk and just a pinch of disco flavor. And how can you say no to that horn section?

DJ Bookum – Leave Your Message

DJ Bookum brings a bouncy beat and the sample of your answering machine to mix up a old school house cut. Think: hypnotic groove and a Green Velvet–style voicemail hook. It’s catchy, it’s stripped-back, and it’s built for late-night warehouse dance floors. Leave your message after the tone.

SYREETA – This Song

SYREETA is the HE.SHE.THEY. resident with an uncanny ability to read and adapt to the energy of a crowd. SYREETA’s sets draw on chunky basslines and melodic grooves from a palette of house and techno and have delighted dance floors around the world. Their new single, “This Song,” is no exception.

Harmogy – Left/Right

To continue the late-night dance floor vibe, German producer Harmogy brings us a snappy tech house hook with their new single “Left/Right.” Get to stepping.

Ollie Lishman x The Melody Men – Club Checker

Aussie producer, Ollie Lishman steps up the tempo with his new collaboration with The Melody Men on the single “Club Checker.” (and spoiler alert, The Melody Men aren’t actually men).

Spiny Norman – Siwa (7″ Version)

Now it’s time for a little left-feild indie house with a catchy bassline hook. Enter the new single from Dutch psychedelic electrofunk band, Spiny Norman. The new single is called “Siwa” and it is a hypnotic instrumental journey that blends indie electronic textures, kraut-inspired repetition and late-night dance grooves. It’s Cinematic. It’s moody. And it slowly unfolds like a mirage in the desert. Get involved!

TĀLĀ – 11-11 (We Are)

Known for blending sounds from her Iranian heritage with UK underground scenes, TĀLĀ effortlessly weaves elements of R&B and electronic together. And that’s what you can expect on her new single, “11-11 (We Are)” — a track rooted in 808 beat and topped out with a catchy vocal hook. “The idea was that we are all children,” explains TĀLĀ when talking about the new single. “We all come here alone and leave here alone. We both had emotional stuff we were dealing with and shared from the beginning of our friendship that began in our first recording session and somehow our deep conversations always seem to make it into the songs we’ve ever made together.”

MOLØ – Dear (feat. Kamohelo) (ambient version)

We’ll round off the mix this month with a new track from Swedish producer, MOLØ. Inspired by her father, a Stockholm-based selector in his own right, MOLØ came onto the scene in 2018. We’ve featured her unique flavor of electronic music on the blog a couple times over the year, but very happy to feature her new single “Dear” for you this month. It’s a laid-back break beat that is beautifully ambient. Perfect to finish off the mix.
