Wild Cub – Thunder Clatter
Wild Cub: 4:15pm, Main Stage
The 5 piece band with Keegan DeWitt (vocals/guitar), Jeremy Bullock (guitar/synths), Dabney Morris (drums), Harry West (bass), and Eric Wilson (keys/synths) is touring post releasing their debut album “Youth” out of Nashville. . The album meshes electro-pop and island rhythms creating a nostalgically evocative tone. They offer up a cinematic soundtrack that will surely make me dance.

J. Roddy Walston – Heavy Bells
J Roddy Waltson: 5pm, River Stage
Hailing from Baltimore, J Roddy Walston is someone I’d rather see live than listen to in my car, thought that’s fun too. The group’s most recent album, “Essential Tremors” has a classic rock and roll sound and watching Waltson bang on the piano is a site worth seeing. I’ve seen them several times, both at a small venue and a festival. It is a show not to be missed.

Lydia Loveless – Boy Crazy
Lydia Loveless 6:30pm, Amphitheater Stage
This young lady wears her chaotic magnetism as a prideful badge. She is a Femme Fatale through and though and her old soul can be heard through her voice. Lydia is an Ohio native born and raised in Columbus. With three albums already under her belt at twenty-three, she infuses punk and country and makes you want more.

Fitz and the Tantrums – Darkest Street
Fitz and The Tantrums: 7:45pm Main Stage
After releasing their sophomore album “More than Just A Dream” by 2013, The Fitz and the Tantrums have managed to keep their neo-soul/ indie sound funking up the country. I, for one, am down to hear some soulful beats at Bunbury from these Los Angelos cats. After watching Michael Fitzpatrick (lead vocals) and Noelle Scraggs (vocals and percussion) shake it on the screen, I’m counting on this show to be if nothing else, funky and fun.

Heartless Bastards – Only For You

FINALLY! Whenever this band has returned to the place where it was formed, Cincinnati OH, I can never quite make it out to see them. I am beyond thrilled to get to hear them live at Bunbury. Formed in 2003, as a Cincy garage rock band, the Heartless Bastards have made their way creating a total of four albums by 2012. “The Mountain”, my personal favorite, is one of those self discovery collections that I listened to while working through hard times. “Arrow” their most recent album of work solidifies their masterful sound of hard rock and seventies soul.

Empire Of The Sun – Alive
Empire of the Sun: 10:15pm Main Stage
This is a band that I have been told to see live for the incredible show. It will be my adventure time band for the weekend, as I am new to what they bring. They are an electronic music duo from Sydney, Australia and their second album “Ice on the Dune” was released in June of 2013. Their first album, “Walking On A Dream,” was released in 2008. By the time they go on stage, I’m sure I will be more than ready to watch an elaborate spectacle in sync with their electric sounds.
