Poity x VodomiroV x Louf collab is beautifully atmospheric: “Loving Heart”

I got sent this very interesting set of tracks last month from a two Russian composers that I really wanted to share with you. The track is called “Loving Heart” and it was composed by Poity and VodomiroV. The track is a bouncy, upbeat groove that revolves around a rotating vocal sample and is layered up with all sorts of musical ideas from piano melodies to a tastefully placed woodblock.

Based in Bali, Indonesia now, Poity and VodomiroV run an music education project called New Tone Academy that offers course in sound engineering and music production for Russian speakers around the world.

As a musical duo, Poity and VodomiroV blend dance and broken rhythms with modular synths and vocals, making their tracks both atmospheric and rhythmic. So when VodomiroV came across a collection of instrumental rack devices for Ableton that generated semi-random percussion patterns produced by London-based producer, Louf, he decided to get in touch.

The result is this beautifully arranged remix of “Loving Heart” that preserves the soul of the orginal but exapnds the atmospheric elements and adds a layer of percussion that transports the track to the dancefloor (or perhaps a festival field at sunset).

Check out both the original and remix of “Loving Heart” below, and give Louf, Poity, and VodomiroV a follow if you like what you hear.
